Average Number of Frost Days
The infographic shows the average number of frost days at stations in the Czech Republic for the individual years within the 1961–2020 period (average from all stations). Both the annual and decadal graphs show a decreasing trend in the number of these days when the minimum temperature falls below freezing point. This trend is particularly pronounced in the last analyzed decade of 2011–2020.
All 5 years with the highest average number of frost days occurred prior to the year 2000. In contrast, all the 5 years with the lowest number of such days occurred after the year 2000. The long-term trend over this 60-year period shows a decrease, of on average 4.7 days per decade.
