Freezing Temperatures

The infographic shows the first and last frost and ice day in the individual winters from 1961/62 to 2019/2020. The first and last day represents an average date calculated from all the stations in the Czech Republic. Days with record early or record late occurrence are highlighted in the chart above. Column charts show the length of the interval between the first and last ice and frost day in the individual winters. All charts clearly indicate that the interval is gradually becoming shorter in the long term, i.e., the time of the year when ice or frost days are observed is becoming less frequent.
