Long-term climate trends in the Czech Republic
Maps of the individual meteorological parameters show differences between the mean of that particular parameter in the normal period 1991-2020 compared to the previous 30-year normal period of 1961-1990. It should, however, be noted that changes in particular seasons might be different to the year average. Maps clearly show that in case of air temperature – mean, maximum and minimum, only increase is observed in the Czech Republic with highest rate of increase being seen near Prague and Central Bohemia. Other parameters show variable trends. Precipitation increased at most of the Czech Republic area, similarly to the sunshine duration. In contrast, wind speed and relative air humidity has seen a decreasing trend at most places.
